Championship promotion odds: Bookies reveal odds on Swansea, Cardiff, Fulham and Brentford

Here's the latest odds ahead of the play-offs

Much to the despair of Nottingham Forest, the extraordinary events of the Championship last night saw Swansea close a 6 point goal difference gap and leapfrog them into 6th place.

Prior to kick-off last night, the permutations for Swansea to qualify were a whopping 20/1.

As Swansea managed to land their spot in the play-offs at the bitter end, they joined West Londoners, Fulham and Brentford, and the only other Welsh team in the Championship, Cardiff.

Since the market has open Brentford just edge it in the betting having taken 30% of all bets to get promoted, being offered at 6/4 best price. That's a majority 40% implied probability that Thomas Frank’s team will win the richest game in football.

However, their London neighbours Fulham, are not far behind at all having taken 29% of all bets, being offered at 5/2 best price giving them a 28.6% implied probability to take the final spot in the Premier League.

Even with their late entry to the mix, Swansea have not seen a lacking in support as they have been the third most backed with 22% of all bets (9/2) followed by Cardiff with 19% (9/2).

It is sure to say that Fulham and Cardiff will both be eager to regain their places back in the Premier League after being relegated in 2019 having only spent one year in England’s top flight.

Whereas Brentford will be looking to make history with their debut season and become the 50th club to play in the Premier League.

Swansea are 5/2 to win their home tie against Brentford this Sunday, whilst Cardiff are priced at 19/10 to beat Fulham at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "After their dramatic final-day smuggling of Nottingham Forest's play-off place, Swansea City now have an outside chance of returning to the Premier League, and they'll fancy their chances against a Brentford side undoubtedly low on confidence.

"An all-Welsh final is a tantalising prospect, but that'll also require Cardiff City to beat an impressive Fulham side who narrowly missed out on automatic promotion themselves."

To be promoted to the Premier League:
Brentford – 6/4
Fulham – 5/2
Cardiff – 9/2
Swansea – 9/2
