Leeds United have been revealed as the clear favourites in the race for wonderkid Thiago Almada, ahead of the likes of Manchester United and City.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side lead the market as 3/1 favourites, having been cut in from 6/1.
That’s due to the majority of the early money in the market being placed on the Yorkshire side, with 68% of all bets in the market backing Leeds.
That means they’ve now pulled ahead of second-favourites, Manchester United, who have now been pushed out to 5/1.
Manchester City follow next at 9/1, then Arsenal round off the market at 14/1.
Oddschecker’s sister site, WhoScored.com, revealed that out of all players to make 20+ appearances, Almada ranked fifth in the Argentine Superliga last season for key passes per 90 (2.2) and seventh for successful dribbles per 90 (2.8).
He is also the second highest-rated teenager in the division to make 10+ apps (6.82) using their statistical metrics.
