Fulham’s dramatic 2-0 win over West London rivals Brentford resulted in the Cottagers securing their place in the 2020/21 Premier League.
But the question on the minds of sceptical football fans across the country will be whether they can stay up or not.
The Oddschecker grids are now populated with 12+ bookies pricing the outright market, and we’ve taken a look at the odds.
At the time of writing, Fulham aren’t actually favourites for relegation. That unwanted position goes to another newly-promoted side in West Brom, who are 5/4.
That means Fulham are penned as second-favourites for the drop next season, currently priced at 11/8 best price.
There is some disparity in the pricing, however, with Betfred going as short as 8/11 that the Cottagers face a swift return to the Championship.
Punters have been backing the West London side to be relegated since they were added to the market this morning, with 28% of all bets since being placed on Scott Parker’s side.
WhoScored.com told us that in their last Premier League season (2018/19) - they conceded more goals (81) than any other team, while only Huddersfield (22) scored fewer (34).
Aston Villa edge into the top three favourites for relegation next season, currently available at 9/4 with Bet Victor.
Crystal Palace (5/2) are next on the bookies hit-list, with punters alike not too convinced that Roy Hodgson’s side will beat the drop.
Newcastle are by far the biggest movers in the market, with bookies cutting odds from 6/1 into as short as 9/4 following the failed Saudi takeover.
