The Brazilian is being linked with a loan move to the Emirates.
Arsenal are now odds-on, at a best price of 8/11, to sign Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho this summer.
The Gunners were cut from 11/10 yesterday, though he was as short as 1/10 to make that same move last summer.
Rumours in the press suggest the Brazilian could be nearing a loan move to the North London club, who are also close to sealing a deal for Willian on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old former Liverpool man spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. He made 23 appearances in the league, contributing 8 goals and 6 assists.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have drifted slightly in the market to sign Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish. Arsenal were cut to 8/11 to sign him just a week ago, but since then they’ve drifted back out to even money and are priced as long as 3/1 in places.
Grealish looks likely to stay at Villa Park according to the bookies (2/5), but he’s also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United (4/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "There are certainly doubts over whether Arsenal would fork out the huge fee needed to sign Jack Grealish, so that drift doesn’t come as a shock. A loan move for Philippe Coutinho may prove more favourable and the market agrees.
"Coutinho has had a torrid time since leaving Liverpool, and it looks likely that he’ll end up back in the Premier League one way or another."
