Who could Leeds United sign this transfer window? Marcelo Bielsa's hit-list priced up at the bookies

A host of top names have been linked with the newly-promoted side

Leeds United’s long-awaited return to the Premier League has sent the rumour mill into overdrive, with a stream of top players linked with Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

Since the confirmation of promotion, bookies have cut odds on Leeds signing a host of established talents.

We've taken a look at which players are currently favoured to join the West Yorkshire side.

Who are Leeds favourite to sign?

•    Ben White (7/4 favourites)

The most likely signing in the transfer window, according to the bookies, is a permanent deal for centre-back Ben White.

Leeds are 7/4 to sign the 22-year-old, alongside Premier League winners Liverpool, who are also 7/4. Leicester are 16/1 followed by Everton at 25/1.

•    James Milner (3/1 favourites)

This would go down a storm at Elland Road. Bookmakers make Leeds clear favourites to sign cult hero Milner, ahead of Rangers (16/1).

The move has been well supported by punters, with 71% of all bets in the market since it opened, all backing Leeds.

•    Odsonne Edouard (4/1 favourites)

Odsonne Edouard would be a huge statement of intent from Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with Arsenal slipping to second favourites, despite reports linking the Celtic striker with a move.

Leeds are 4/1 market leaders, ahead of the Gunners (5/1) and Aston Villa (5/1). Leicester (6/1) follow next, with Manchester United available at 8/1.

•    Michy Batshuayi (5/1 2nd favourites)

Leeds have been cut from 8/1 into 5/1 to have Michy Batshuayi make Elland Road his new home, however, they are not favourites in this market with Aston Villa beating them with bookmakers currently priced at 4/1.

Newcastle United and West Ham follow shortly behind in the market both at 6/1 with Crystal Palace next in line at 8/1.

The Whites have been the most popular bet among punters, with 39% of all bets placed on the move, backing Leeds.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “As with most newly promoted sides, Leeds United are preparing to embark on a spending spree."

"While the likes of Ben White and James Milner are currently the most probably acquisitions according to the bookies, it's more likely Marcelo Bielsa find better value further afield."
