Oddschecker has taken a look at the outright market
Who is the favourite?
Bookmakers have released odds for the upcoming League One 2020/21 season, earmarking Sunderland as the clear favourites for promotion.
The Black Cats currently lead the market as 23/10 favourites, and have been very popular with punters since prices went live.
There are two teams in joint-second favourite, with Peterborough and Portsmouth both 3/1 to be playing Championship football the season after.
Oxford United impressed many last year and are 10/3 to go up this time around. Ipswich are 4/1 for a return to the Championship, the same price as Charlton.
Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town are 5/1 in the betting, alongside Bristol Rovers (5/1). Lincoln are available at around the 7/1 range, whilst Doncaster are a shade longer at 9/1.
Blackpool (9/1) follow next, with MK Dons and Gillingham both unlikely at 10/1. Burton Albion are 10/1 for a return to the Championship, whilst Accrington Stanley are pretty unlikely at 14/1.
Shrewsbury are 17/1 in the market, followed by Plymouth (22/1), AFC Wimbledon are 45/1 for what would be a spectacular promotion to the Championship, whilst Rochdale are the least likely at 55/1.
