Manchester United have been cut into clear odds-on favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, following a flurry of bets on the move.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been cut from 4/1 into as short as 1/2 to sign the former Premier League winner, indicating a 60% chance being estimated by bookmakers.
One firm is still offering 2/1 on the move, however, that price maintains United’s position as favourites.
Punters have also been keen to back a move to Old Trafford, with United accounting for 42% of all possible bets in the market.
PSG are second-favourites in the market, priced at 7/1 to add yet another defensive midfielder to their ranks.
Another former major force in European football, Barcelona, are third favourites in the pursuit of Kante, currently priced at 8/1.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are third favourites, alongside Juventus, at 12/1. Manchester City sit on the periphery of the market at 20/1.
Leading football stats site, WhoScored.com, gave us the lowdown on Kante. They revealed the Frenchman committed more fouls (45) than he made tackles (44) last season, which is a huge departure from his best.
