The Toffees could be closing in on an audacious triple signing, according to the bookies.
Everton are now heavily odds-on to sign three highly-rated players in this transfer window. Bookies make them favourites to sign Allan (1/20), James Rodriguez (1/8) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (1/8).
Allan is the most likely to get over the line according to the odds, cut from 1/3 yesterday into 1/20 this morning.
The Napoli midfielder could be set for a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti, having struggled to secure a place in Gennaro Gattuso’s side. Reports suggest a fee of around £31million will be enough to persuade the Italian club.

Meanwhile, James Rodriguez is now priced at 1/8 to join Everton. He was linked with a move to Goodison Park last season, but reports this time round appear to be more reliable.
The Colombian is another who has played under Ancelotti previously, and he’s now nearing the end of his contract at Real Madrid.
The third player said to be close to joining Everton is Abdoulaye Doucoure, priced at 1/8. Though relegated with Watford, Doucoure stood out as a bright spark in the Hornets’ squad for much of the campaign.
Watford are reportedly demanding a hefty fee for the Frenchman, but his desire to play in the Premier League could prove crucial.
