Everton Premier League preview: top six odds, top scorer and more

What price are Everton to finish in the top six? Read oddschecker’s preview of all the key markets ahead of the new season.

Premier League top six odds

Everton had quite an unconvincing season finishing twelfth which is well below where the club aspires to be. With the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti in December and currently building a new 53,000 seater stadium it is clear the club shows ambition, so where do the bookies think Everton could finish?

What price are Everton to finish in the top six?

Despite finishing in twelfth last season Everton were only ten points away from the top six which could be seen as a closable gap with a fresh start under Ancelotti. Everton are currently available at 11/2 to finish in the top six.

With the potential of stars such as James Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure on the cards to join the Toffees in the coming weeks, an exciting season could be set ahead for them.

Everton have quite the pairing in Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin in attack who both show plenty of potential, and under the nurturing of one of Europe’s top managers who knows how dangerous they could both become in front of goal.

How likely are Leicester and Wolves to beat Everton in the top six race?

Despite Leicester’s incredible season last year they had to settle for a fifth-place finish as they couldn’t continue their form in the return from lockdown.

Wolves were also unfortunate having missed out on any European spot on the final day of the season to no more than goal difference by Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

With both midland clubs impressing last season racking up some of the most notable results of the campaign, it’s no surprise to see them as joint-favourites to finish inside the top six after the “Big Six”, both available at a best price of 5/2.

Everton are next in the market after Leicester and Wolves being offered at 11/2.

Who will be Everton's top goalscorer?

Everton’s number nine, Calvert-Lewin, is the favourite to finish as their top goalscorer once again.

The English youngster had a good breakthrough season as he solidified his place in Everton’s starting eleven and finished as the club’s top scorer alongside Richarlison.

However, even with quite a strong season from the Englishman, the bookies have priced Calvert-Lewin up at a huge 50/1 to win the Golden Boot in the 20/21 Premier League campaign.

Next Premier League manager to be sacked: is Carlo Ancelotti safe?

The Premier League sack race is always one to keep an eye on for all punters and football fans as multiple managers will likely be feeling the pressure in the opening months.

As Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most accredited managers in recent times, he surely shows a sign of ambition from the board at Everton, so it is unlikely he will be in the conversation early on.

The Italian has been priced up at a best price of 25/1 to part ways with their club before any other manager, being offered only as short as 18/1. So it is pretty clear that the bookmakers think it is quite unlikely that Ancelotti will be the first to go.
