It’s all change in the Frenchman’s market
Leicester and Aston Villa have replaced Arsenal and Manchester United as the clear favourites to sign Celtic star Odsonne Edouard.
The Foxes were 8/1 outsiders for the striker on the 18th August, but that price has now been cut in half to 4/1.
One bookie, BetVictor, is pricing a move to the King Power at the even shorter price of 2/1.
Aston Villa are the other big market movers, going into as short as 4/1 last week. At 7/1, they’re now clear second-favourites for Edouard.
Once priced as strong 2/1 favourites, Arsenal’s chances of signing the striker have drifted dramatically, now out to 9/1.
Premier League sides make up most of the market, with Brighton (10/1), Everton (12/1) and Newcastle (12/1) all around the same price.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Prior to Aubameyang’s positive contract talks, Edouard was as short as 2/1 to join Arsenal.
“That price has continued to drift, with money cooling for the Gunners and coming for a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester.
“Over the last week, 41% of all bets in the market have backed just that, making Leicester City the new clear favourites for Celtic’s starting striker.”
