Premier League winner odds: Stunning transfer business leaves punters flocking to Chelsea

Frank Lampard’s side have received heavy investment

Chelsea’s odds continue to tumble in the Premier League winner market, with punters increasingly keen to back Frank Lampard’s side.

A considerably strong transfer window has seen the West London side’s price plummet, from 16/1 a few months ago, into as short as 9/1

The best price of 11/1 is available with two firms (William Hill and Betway), with the remaining bookmakers on the Oddschecker grids offering 10/1.

Since the arrivals of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and co, the Blues have been the most backed team in the league, attracting 16% of all bets.

In turn, that’s seen them leapfrog Manchester United into third-favourites, with the Red Devils drifting out again to 20/1 best price with Betway.

Although Frank Lampard’s side are making noises of troubling the top two, both Manchester City and Liverpool continue to gobble up the majority of the market.

Pep Guardiola’s side are priced as odds-on shots across the board, currently 4/5 best price with 888sport and Unibet.

Returning champions Liverpool are available as 9/4 second-favourites, despite their mercurial maiden Premier League win.

There’s a considerable drop off following the top four favourites, with Arsenal (33/1) and Tottenham (60/1) both very much on the periphery of the market.

Leading football stats specials, WhoScored.com, revealed that in Werner, Havertz and Ziyech - they've added 46 league goals and 26 assists from last season to their squad.

That trio of signings had a direct hand in more league goals (72) than Chelsea scored in total last season (69).

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “After a string of outstanding signings, it's little shock that Chelsea have emerged as the punters' pick for a surprise title win.
