West Ham Premier League preview: top half odds, top scorer and more

What price are West Ham to finish in the top half? Read oddschecker’s preview of all the key markets ahead of the new season.

Top Ten Finish

It’s been a turbulent shortened pre-season for West Ham, with club captains jarring with the club hierarchy on Twitter.

Selling one of your young academy prospects on the eve of a campaign doesn’t lead to much confidence, and that lack of optimism has carried over to punters.

At the time of writing, West Ham are currently 3/1 to finish in the top half, behind one newly promoted side and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton.

Leeds are around the 9/4 mark for a top-half finish, whilst Southampton are 13/8.

Everton follow next in the betting, currently priced at 4/6. Leicester are heavily odds on at 4/11, then comes Wolves 7/20 and Tottenham (1/8).

Who will be West Ham's top goalscorer?

The Hammers have missed a recognised source of weekly goals over the last few seasons, and that’s replicated in their players’ odds of winning the Golden Boot.

Most likely on the list is Sebastien Haller, but at as long as 150/1 with Bet Victor.

There’s more value looking at some of the even longer prices, with Michail Antonio (150/1) and Jarrod Bowen (250/1) both available at sky-high prices.

Next Premier League manager to be sacked: is David Moyes' job safe?

I think we all know the answer to this one. No, it’s not.

David Moyes finds himself as the second favourite to be the first Premier League manager out of the door, only trailing Roy Hodgson (5/1).

The Scot has been fired once by Gold and Sullivan, and since the market opened, 14% of all bets have backed him to be the first dismissed.
