Wolves Premier League 2020/21 preview: top four odds, top scorer and more

What price are Wolves to finish in the top four? Read oddschecker’s preview of all the key markets ahead of the new season.

Premier League top four odds

Having finished seventh two years running since their return to the Premier League, Wolves are establishing themselves as a top side. Can they break into the top six this season?

Wolves are 13/2 to finish in the Premier League top four

Wolves are threatening to do something special. Finishing just outside the top six on their first two seasons back in the Premier League, they’re an exciting team that could certainly challenge for European football again this campaign.

Nuno’s men are 6/1 to grab a Champions League spot with most bookies, but a best price of 13/2 is still offered by some.

Backed by spending power and the influence of agent Jorge Mendes, Wolves have added some very exciting signings to their already talented squad. The arrival of Portuguese wonderkid Fabio Silva has caused a stir, though he’ll be one for the future. They’ve also picked up Vitinha on loan from Porto to bolster their midfield.

Ultimately Wolves have raised their own bar, and will be disappointed with anything less than the top six this season.

Tottenham and Leicester closest rivals for the top six

Plenty will agree with the bookies on the top four spots this season, with Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd occupying the top of the market.

The top six market gets a little more interesting when you get past those top four sides. Arsenal are the best of the rest according to the odds, priced at 4/7. They’re followed by North London rivals Tottenham at 8/11.

Wolves could end up in a battle with Spurs for that sixth place and they’re a 5/2 chance to achieve it.

Last season’s fifth place side, Leicester City, are expected to face a stiffer challenge this season and find themselves a best price of 11/4 for a top six finish

Who will be Wolves' top goalscorer?

You’ll have to look a fair way down the Premier League top goalscorer market to find a Wolves player, but it’s no surprise that player is Raul Jimenez. He's as short as 20/1, but a best price of 33/1.

The Mexican finished joint-eighth in the race for the golden boot last season. His 17 goals left him level with Man Utd duo Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Wolves’ talisman is expected to top the charts for them again this season, and he could form an exciting partnership with Fabio Silva should they be played together.

Next Premier League manager to be sacked: how safe is Nuno Espirito Santo?

There’s a surprising disparity between bookies on the question of whether Nuno could be sacked next.

While one bookmaker has him as short as 12/1 to be the next manager to leave, he’s way out at 40/1 with another.

We mentioned before that Wolves have raised their own bar, and therefore raised expectations surrounding their performance, but it would take a lot for Nuno to exit the club. Given the quality of football he’s instilled at the club, it’s more likely he’d leave for another job than be sacked. However, with new signings coming in and a bright future ahead, you’d expect him to stay put.
