Man Utd Transfer News: Traore and Sarr latest as Dembele and Sancho odds drift

Manchester United look set to make a host of Deadline Day signings, with Cavani and Telles deals close.

It looks like Man Utd are already close to sealing two Deadline Day deals, with striker Edinson Cavani and left-back Alex Telles both reportedly due to be announced imminently.

While United fans are praying for more defensive signings after their humiliation at the hands of Tottenham, they may have to settle for Chris Smalling staying at the club on that front. It appears to be attackers that Ed Woodward and his team are pursuing on Deadline Day.

Perhaps the strongest rumour at the moment suggests that Atalanta starlet Amad Traore is close to signing for Man Utd. The 18-year-old had looked set to join Parma, but that deal apparently collapsed earlier today. Bookies haven’t priced up the move as the rumour came about so suddenly, but reports say this is likely to go through.

Ismaila Sarr

Watford’s Ismaila Sarr has been linked with several clubs this window, including Liverpool and Aston Villa. Man Utd were slashed to 11/8 favourites last week, then drifted to 6/1. However, they've been cut back into 2/1 favourites amid reports talks have reopened for the 22-year-old.

Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for a couple of weeks now, and United were cut into 5/6 earlier today. However, the odds on that move have drifted back out to 7/4, with Barcelona said to only be interested in letting the Frenchman go on a permanent deal.

Jadon Sancho

The transfer saga of the summer looks set to end in disappointment for Man Utd. It was unlikely this move would be resurrected late on and with Man Utd now priced way out at 12/1 to sign him, it looks to finally be off the cards. The Englishman is now 1/50 to stay at Borussia Dortmund.

Dayot Upamecano

Man Utd fans got very excited by the news they might be signing one of  Europe’s most exciting centre-backs, as bookies cut odds to as short as 2/1 last month. However, Upamecano is now priced at 10/1 to join United, with any deal looking extremely unlikely.
