Punters continue to strongly support England
In the last six months, England are by far the most backed side in the market with 26% of bets.
They may have not produced fireworks as of late, but that isn’t stopping punters backing them at 9/2.
Gareth Southgate’s side came from behind to beat number one ranked Belgium on Sunday. This has showed given supports the belief England can beat anyone, despite not being at their best throughout the match.
Indeed, in the last two days England have increased their market share and continue to be very strong at the top of the betting. Since Saturday, they have taken 34% of bets in the market, causing a couple of firms to clip their odds from 5/1 into 9/2.
Portugal second most backed at 16/1
Interestingly, it is Portugal who are the second most backed side on oddschecker. Despite being 16/1 and eighth-favourites in the market, punters are still keen to get their money down.

Netherlands failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup but find themselves priced at 15/2, and have been attracting a bit of interest from punters.
