Who is the favourite for the Old Firm?
Celtic enter the contest as marginal home favourites, although odds-against at 31/20 best price, with concerns around their starting XI.
Rangers are penned as marginal underdogs at 15/8 best price with 365, but that hasn’t dissuaded punters attention.
Rangers have been the most backed
Steven Gerrard’s side enter the game with the vast majority of bets over the last week and 24-hour time period, attracting 55% of bets and 63% of bets respectively.
That prompted bookies to cut odds on Rangers from 5/2 pre-Edouard news, into the aforementioned price of 15/8.
Edouard could miss the game, making Morelos favourite for first goalscorer
With Edouard set to potentially miss the tie, Alfredo Morelos is the 5/1 clear favourite for first goalscorer, followed by Alban Ajeti and Leigh Griffths at 11/2.
Patryk Klimala is 7/1 in the betting, whilst ex-Motherwell man is 9/1 in the betting. James Tavernier is 11/1, alongside Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “With Celtic facing a number of key missing players, odds have continued to tumble on Celtic winning the first Old Firm of the season.
“Neil Lennon’s men were 1/1 favourites just six days ago but have now drifted out to 31/20 with some bookies.
“In percentages, that means bookies estimations have slid from a 50% implied chance of winning to 39.2% since Edouard’s coronavirus news.”
