Wilder now third-favourite to be first manager to go
After a bitterly disappointing start to the season for Sheffield United and Chris Wilder, the Blades manager is now third-favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave their post.
With only one point to their name so far, they sit rock bottom of the Premier League after eight games.
As big as 35/1 before the season, Chris Wilder is now as short as 3/1 to be sacked first following their dismal start.
Even over the weekend he was available at 14/1. However, his odds started to rapidly contract throughout Monday.
By Monday evening, he was a best price of 7/2 and only behind Ole Gunnar Sojskjaer and Slaven Bilic in the market.

This season has been a far cry from their first season back in the Premier League. Very hard to break down throughout last season, they have been very patchy at the back since September. Conceding 14 goals in eight games is a big cause for concern for a side that used to pride themselves on being solid at the back.
They are seriously struggling in front of goal too. They have only scored four goals in eight games, and two of those have been penalties.
Rhian Brewster is yet to make an impact, and things will quickly have to change if Wilder wants to turn this around before matters are taken out of his hands.

Their last three games have been against Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, so they can’t have expected much, but it is still a worrying time at Bramall Lane.
They now have a kinder run of fixtures after the international break. They will have to fire quickly though, or pressure will continue to mount on Wilder.
He will be afforded more time than most managers due to the incredible job he has done with the club in recent years, but if results don’t change, something may have to give.
They face West Ham after the international break, before travelling to West Brom for what is already a six point game.
