Yesterday’s North London derby defeat has resulted in British bookies slashing odds on Mikel Arteta being the first Premier League manager to leave this season.

Odds have been cut from 10/1 yesterday morning into just 11/2 best price now, with some firms offering odds as short as 7/2.

That means Pep Guardiola’s former understudy now only trails West Brom boss Slaven Bilic (7/2) and struggling Blades boss Chris Wilder (11/4).

A former favourite earlier in the season, pressure has eased off Fulham gaffer Scott Parker, who slides out to 15/2 fourth favourite.

Bruno Fernandes may have had a say on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s price this weekend, rescuing the United manager, who is now 9/1 to leave first.

Steve Bruce’s impressive season isn’t resonating with punters, still available at just 10/1. Roy Hodgson is next most likely (25/1), then Sean Dyche (33/1).

Leading football stats site,, revealed that over Arsenal's last nine Premier League matches they have committed as many foul throws as they have scored goals (5).

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Arsenal's dreadful start to the Premier League season has seen pressure justifiably crank up on boss Mikel Arteta.

"In the last 24 hours, a whopping 42% of all bets in the market have backed Arteta to leave before any other manager.

“The Spaniard was backed in this summer's transfer market, and yet it's already clear that the Gunners will be getting nowhere near the upper echelons of the table unless they experience a drastic reversal of fortunes."
