Manchester City now find themselves second in the market...
- Bayern Munich are as short as 5/2 to retain their Champions League title.
- Man City are almost half the price of Liverpool after drawing Lazio, now 7/2.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have been installed as the clear favourite to win the Champions League following the draw this afternoon.
Hansi Flick’s team have been cut from 10/3 before they drew Lazio, now into 3/1 market leaders over Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have often found themselves sitting atop of this market, although bookies are not as keen on their chances this year, pricing them at 7/2.
Liverpool’s draw with RB Leipzig has seen them nibbled in by punters, cut from 13/2 pre-draw into 6/1 after.
PSG and Juventus are the next two European giants in the market, priced at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively.
Real Madrid are priced as lofty outsiders to continue their love affair with the competition, currently pushed out to 16/1 to win their 14th major European honour.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea were above Barcelona in the betting prior to the draw, but now find themselves alongside them at 18/1.
There’s host of top sides following next in the betting, with Atletico Madrid (20/1), Borussia Dortmund (20/1) and RB Leipzig (40/1) all available at punchy prices.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “While favourable draws for Bayern and Man City sees them remain at the top of the Champions League winner market, Liverpool's tough assignment against RB Leipzig is a whole other story.
"Jurgen Klopp's men have their work cut out to reach the quarter-finals, as do Chelsea, who take on Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid."
