Bookmakers have installed Sam Allardyce as the odds-on favourite to become the next West Bromwich Albion manager, as short as 1/7.
Betting was suspended on the next Premier League manager to leave market after rumours began to circulate regarding Bilic’s future last night.
Those rumours have now been confirmed, with official confirmation that Slaven Bilic has been sacked by West Brom.
The club sit 19th in the Premier League table, but the timing of the decision has been questioned by fans. West Brom earned a hard-fought point at the Etihad last night, drawing 1-1 with Man City.
Sam Allardyce was last seen managing Everton for a six-month spell, but has been out of management since 2018. Big Sam has managed seven Premier League clubs and never been relegated.
Mark Hughes heavily linked but 8/1 second favourite
Mark Hughes was also heavily linked with the job earlier today, but he’s priced at 8/1 as second favourite. Elsewhere in the market, the likes of Eddie Howe, Alex Neil and Marco Silva are all priced at 12/1.
