Premier League winner odds: Manchester City cut into clear favourites for title after Chelsea win
Manchester City have been installed as the new clear favourites to win the Premier League, following the side’s 3-0 procession at Stamford Bridge.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been cut from 2/1 just days ago into 5/4 best price with four different bookies on the oddschecker grids.
Some firms are going one step further, with odds as short as 1/1 on offer with one UK bookmaker.
That means City have leapfrogged title rivals Liverpool in the betting, with Jurgen Klopp’s slide drifting from 10/11 out to 7/4 with Betfred.
In the last 24 hours, City have been by far the most popular bet at odds-against prices, accruing 31% of all bets placed during that time period.
Man Utd have shortened to third favourites for the title
Manchester United’s continued run of good form has seen the side cut into 7/1 third favourites, despite being 40/1 earlier in the season.
Tottenham are the other club being seriously considered as title challengers at the bookies, although they have drifted from 8/1 to 16/1.
Chelsea’s momentum seems to have halted and so have their odds. Frank Lampard’s side have now dropped below Leicester (40/1), with the Blues now 66/1 best price.
