Rodrigo de Paul is currently Leeds' most likely signing, according to the odds
At 5/1, the Argentine attacking midfielder Rodrigo de Paul is tipped as the most likely signing for Bielsa in January. The 26-year-old appeared to be closing in on a move to Elland Road in the summer window, causing a Twitter storm in the process. However, the clubs couldn’t come to an agreement.
After a successful spell at Udinese, Leeds appears to still be an attractive option for Rodrigo de Paul and an opportunity for him to test himself in the Premier League. A prospective move to Elland Road would see him work under his fellow countryman Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds Utd Transfer Rumours: Who else is on their radar?
Besides looking to improve their attacking options, Bielsa could be keen to add some stability to the back four, though it's quiet on that front. Left-back Danny Rose is a long shot to join Leeds at 20/1 after being frozen out from the first team at Spurs.
Sought after centre-back, Ben White, may also be on Bielsa’s radar but his price at 25/1 indicates they’ll have plenty of competition if they attempt to add the Brighton defender to their ranks. The Englishman was one of the stars of Leeds’ Championship title-winning campaign and is still adored by the fan base, though a return now seems highly unlikely.
