The Arsenal icon is now the big favourite to become next Bournemouth manager, but will caretaker Jonathan Woodgate fend him off?
Thierry Henry to Bournemouth: Frenchman now 1/2 favourite
Former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is the new odds-on favourite to be named next permanent Bournemouth boss, following a flurry of betting activity.
The World Cup winner is the new market leader this morning, with Henry’s odds cut from 25/1 into 1/2 best price.
That’s due to the majority of punters' bets being placed on the seemingly unlikely appointment, with 81% of all bets in the last 24 hours backing the Frenchman.

Jonathan Woodgate also in contention
That means he’s overtaken previous favourite, Jonathan Woodgate, who has since slid out in the betting to 9/2.
Former Huddersfield manager David Wagner is 6/1 third favourite, followed by Chelsea legend John Terry at 12/1 and Marco Silva (16/1).
Reports this morning suggest Bournemouth are ramping up their efforts to bring Henry to the club, with the Frenchman keen on the move.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "Thierry Henry's enjoyed limited success in his managerial career thus far, but he's seemingly set for another shot in English football.
"Bookies have cut odds into 1/2 best price, indicating a 67% chance that Henry actually ends up in Dorset.
"Jonathan Woodgate has done a solid job since taking temporary charge of the Cherries, but could the club be coaxed by a more prevalent name?"
