The Tractor Boys have been cut from 10/1 into 6/1 for a late promotion charge.
Ipswich Town most backed side for League One promotion
Since Paul Lambert parted company with Ipswich Town last night, Ipswich’s odds have been slashed on a late promotion charge.
10/1 over the weekend, they’re now as short as 6/1 to get back into the Championship.
This is thanks to a large number of bets being placed on the Tractor Boys since yesterday.
Indeed, they’re the most backed side for promotion in the last 24 hours, with a massive 80% of all bets in the market.

Lambert had been under pressure for some time and another season of underachieving left his position under ever increasing scrutiny.
After a disagreement with owner Marcus Evans about the direction of the club, it was announced Lambert had left Ipswich by mutual consent and Ipswich are now on the hunt for a new manager.
Paul Cook heavily odds-on to become new Ipswich manager
Paul Cook looks the most likely replacement for Lambert after speculation he had been touted as a replacement a few weeks ago.
He’s currently priced at 1/20 to become the new Ipswich boss, which is an implied chance of 95% he gets the job.
Reports suggest Cook and Evans are in advanced talks about him becoming the new manager.

He’s been out of work since leaving Wigan last year and given the job he did with them, plenty will feel it’s a big upgrade from Paul Lambert.
Next in the market is Danny Cowley at 10/1, with the potential replacements priced at 25/1 or bigger.
The odds would suggest Paul Cook is very close to becoming the new manager of Ipswich Town.
