Bookmakers have slashed odds on Tottenham striker Harry Kane plying his trade with Manchester City next season, following reports of a £100m bid.

Reports today indicate Pep Guardiola’s side are targeting the Three Lions striker as a direct replacement for recently departed Sergio Aguero, sending his price tumbling.

Odds on the transfer have been cut from 3/1 into 11/8 best price, with money continuing to be placed on the prospective move.

In fact, no less than four different bookmakers on the oddschecker grids now make the transfer odds-on, with odds as short as 8/13 available with William Hill.

Over the last 24 hours, a whopping 71% of all bets on Kane’s next permanent club have backed City, with odds now drifting on Kane staying in North London.

Back in April, odds on Kane staying at Spurs beyond the summer transfer window were as short as 1/10, indicating an implied percentage chance of 91%.

Harry Kane transfer odds: who are the other contenders?

At the time of writing this afternoon, it’s now odds-against 13/10 that he remains at Spurs, indicating just a 43.5% chance.

Next up in the betting market for Kane’s next club is Manchester United, available at 5/1 to add the Three Lions striker to their side.

Chelsea are 7/1 best price, although as short as 9/2 with some bookies, whilst PSG (22/1), Bayern Munich (25/1) and Real Madrid (50/1) are next up in the shortlist.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "While Harry Kane is no doubt concentrating on England, the looming spectre of club football is never far away.

“With odds lengthening from 1/10 a few months ago out to 13/10, the betting market is increasingly certain Kane will be leaving this summer.

"It's clear that the England skipper is keen to leave Spurs, but will Daniel Levy be swayed considering the size of his contract?"
