Does anyone want to work with Daniel Levy?
Belgium national team manager Roberto Martinez has become the ninth different favourite manager to take over at Tottenham Hotspur.
The North London side’s search for Jose Mourinho’s replacement continues, with Martinez cut from 20/1 into 4/1 best price.
However, some bookies have gone one step further and cut odds into as short as 2/1 on the Spaniard taking over at Spurs.
That means Martinez becomes no less than the 9th favourite in the race, with Daniel Levy’s uncertainty over the next manager permeating the betting markets.

Elsewhere in the market, the second favourite is Scottish Premiership-winning boss Steven Gerrard, although at a distant price of 10/1.
Former favourite Potter has slid out to 12/1 in the betting, followed by another in Nuno at the same price.
Perennially linked to Spurs, Jürgen Klinnsmann is 16/1 in the betting, followed by former gaffer Pochettino (18/1).
Another big market mover is another international manager in the shape of Roberto Mancini, who has been cut from 33/1 into as short as 14/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Since Jose Mourinho’s sacking in April; Graham Potter, Nuno Espirito Santo, Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe and Genaro Gattuso have been favourite to replace him.
“With Martinez becoming the ninth consecutive favourite to take over at the club, it seems that punters have as much of an idea as Daniel Levy who will be in charge next season.”
Next Tottenham manager odds:
- Roberto Martinez – 4/1
- Steven Gerrard – 10/1
- Graham Potter – 12/1
- Jurgen Klinnsmann – 16/1
- Mauricio Pochettino – 18/1
- Roberto Mancini – 25/1
