Chelsea are next up in third favourites at 25/1, followed by Liverpool (33/1), Juventus (33/1) and Man City (40/1).
Bayern Munich (50/1) and Arsenal (66/1) round off the market for the centre-back, that’s dominated by United at the time of writing.
Football stats gurus WhoScored.com revealed that of the 191 players to contest 50 or more aerial duels, Varane had the best aerial success rate (76%) in La Liga last season.
That would add to a fearsome centre back pairing, with Harry Maguire's aerial success rate in the Premier League last season (75.8%), which was the best in the division using the same parameters.
