Premier League top goalscorer odds: Harry Kane marginally ahead of Romelu Lukaku in race for Golden Boot

This season’s Premier League Golden Boot race has got a whole lot more interesting with the addition of Romelu Lukaku. Can he trouble Kane and Salah?

Premier League Golden Boot odds:

British bookmakers have updated their Premier League Golden market, following Chelsea’s late addition of striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian hitman hasn’t been inducted into the market as favourite, however, with that honour being handed to Spurs striker Harry Kane (18/5).

Lukaku marginally trails Kane at the top of the market, just a shade behind in the betting at 9/2 best price with BetVictor.

A perennial favourite in this market, Liverpool’s Mo Salah, has dipped slightly in the odds, out to the same price as Lukaku at 9/2.

There’s then a huge drop off in odds after the first three in the market, with City’s Raheem Sterling the next in the betting at 22/1.

Who are the outsiders?

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang follows next at the bookies, priced at 25/1. Sadio Mane (27/1), Bruno Fernandes (28/1), Patrick Bamford (28/1) and Diogo Jota (30/1) all follow next.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "Romelu Lukaku's return to the Premier League has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons in this season's Golden Boot market.

"The prolific Belgian pretty much guarantees goals, and will have no problems with re-adapting to the league, but will he bring enough to the table to topple the usual suspects of Kane and Salah?"

“Since Lukaku was added to the market, he’s attracted a whopping 26% of all bets – the most in that time frame out of all potential candidates.”

Golden Boot odds:

  • Romelu Lukaku – 9/2
