Next Watford Manager Odds: Claudio Ranieri installed as favourite to take over at Vicarage Road

Next Watford Manager Odds: Claudio Ranieri installed as favourite to take over at Vicarage Road

Watford's manager merry go round continues with Ranieri expected to takeover.

Xisco Munoz has become the first Premier League manager to be sacked this season following Watford's run of poor results.

Bookmakers have installed Claudio Ranieri as the odds-on favourite at a best price of 1/5 to take charge of the Hornets. Current second favourite is Spanish manager, Diego Martinez who can currently be found at a best price of 7/2.

Reports suggest that Watford are already in talks with Ranieri about the possibility of him becoming the new coach. The Italian manager boasts an impressive CV in English football having spent four years as manager of Chelsea and winning the most remarkable title in Premier League history with Leicester.

Munoz's sacking brings to an end a ten month tenure which saw Watford secure promotion to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship last season.

The Hornets have seven points in as many games so far this season and currently sit four points clear of the relegation zone.
