The Italian was 5/1 yesterday to become the new Manchester United manager but today has found himself odds-on-favourite at 8/11 to takeover from Solskjaer.
Antonio Conte currently odds-on-favourite to takeover
Odds have been decisively slashed on Antonio Conte being named the next permanent Manchester United manager, following a stream of bets.
The former Chelsea manager was available at 5/1 just yesterday to be named Solskjaer’s successor, but that price has been cut all the way in to 8/11.
In fact, some bookies are offering odds as short as 4/6 that the Italian will be the next permanent gaffer in the dugout at Old Trafford.
Over the last 24 hours, Conte has comfortably been the most backed by punters, amassing a whopping 49% of all bets in that time period.
That means Conte has leapfrogged the previous favourite, Zinedine Zidane, who has since drifted from 3/1 clear favourite out to 10/1 at the time of writing.

Who are the other contenders
Odds have also lengthened on Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, who now finds himself 12/1 in the betting, ahead of Mauricio Pochettino (14/1).
Current player and icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s odds have also drifted from 16/1 out to 19/1. Massimiliano Allegri is next up at 25/1, followed by Laurent Blanc (33/1).
Ole still leading the sack race
Taking a look at the Sack Race market, pressure continues to mount on struggling Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who finds himself 1/5 to be the next Premier League manager to leave.
Daniel Farke is the second favourite to leave next at 11/2, followed by Dean Smith (16/1), Nuno Espirito Santo (18/1) and Claudio Ranieri (20/1).
