oddschecker believe Howe or home are the likeliest solutions for Steven Bergwijn, as the unsettled Spurs winger considers his options in the January transfer window.
Bergwijn, who only signed a five-year contract with Spurs in January 2020, has found himself behind both Lucas Moura and Dele Alli in Antonio Conte’s front three pecking order.
However, with Son – one of the two mainstays alongside England captain Harry Kane – likely to be on the treatment table for a few weeks with a muscle injury, it remains to be seen whether Conte would sanction the January sale of Bergwijn.
If he did, the likeliest January destinations for the Dutchman would appear to be Ajax (2/1) and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle (7/1), with Roma and Sevilla also priced up by Sky Bet.

Further complicating any exit plans for Bergwijn could be the future of Alli. The Milton Keynes-born player impressed in Spurs’ entertaining 2-2 draw with Liverpool last month but has been an unused substitute in two of the subsequent three league matches.
Alli is a short-price 1/10 to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but has also been linked with Newcastle (best price 4/1), West Ham (8/1), while BetVictor have individual markets for him to swap Spurs for any French, Italian, Spanish or German clubs (8/1 apiece).
