Next Leeds Manager Odds: Former RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch looks a shoo-in for the Leeds role

Marcelo Bielsa has now left Elland Road and Jesse Marsch has emerged as his likeliest replacement in the next Leeds manager odds market.

Marcelo Bielsa has left Leeds in a perilous position

After a string of awful results over the last few weeks, Marcelo Bielsa's time at Leeds United has come to an end.

Bielsa will always be remembered as the man who finally restored Leeds to the Premier League after a 16-year absence from top-flight football but results throughout the year have not been up to scratch, with his side conceding 60 goals in just 26 league games and losing four games on the bounce by heavy margins.

Bielsa has left Leeds two points from relegation and best odds of 7/4 for the Whites to get relegated this year. Just one week ago you could have backed the Whites to be relegated at 5/1.

American Jesse Marsch odds-on-favourite to takeover

Former RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch is currently the odds-on-favourite at 1/12 to take over at Elland Road. Jesse Marsch may be remembered more for his time with Austrian outfit FC Salzburg where he won the league and cup double before moving to RB Leipzig. At Leipzig however, he made a dismal start to the Bundesliga season after recording only just five wins in 14 league games.

Who are the other contenders

With Marsch the clear favourite to take over at Elland Road all other possible candidates for the role are very distance longshots, with the likes of former West Brom boss Sam Allardyce next up at 10/1 and current Huddersfield manager Carlos Corberan at 12/1.

Further down the list, we have former Tottenham and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo at 16/1 and former Barcelona man Ernesto Valverde at 20/1.
