oddschecker look ahead to Wednesday night’s FA Cup fixtures, with Chelsea and Liverpool returning to action after the Carabao Cup final and Southampton hosting West Ham.
The stats suggest a Southampton win
Southampton welcome West Ham to St Mary’s in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday night and the stats are certainly in their favour. Southampton have only lost once at home all season, which came way back in September against Wolves. In fact, they’ve lost fewer league games at home than Manchester City and remain unbeaten in their last 11 across all competitions (six wins, five draws).
David Moyes’ men will know they face a stern test if they’re to continue their charge for some silverware this season. Their current away form doesn’t make for pretty reading – they’ve only won three of their last 12 away games inside 90 minutes. Southampton could be the value pick for tonight’s games, and you can back them at a best price of 6/4.

Luton look to take down Tuchel’s Chelsea
Luton Town had an easy time of it in the previous two rounds beating Harrogate and Cambridge United. They face a completely different proposition this time around with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea coming to Kenilworth Road. The away side are currently third favourites for the competition (11/2) behind Manchester City (15/8) and Liverpool (4/1). They will be licking their wounds after their League Cup final defeat on Sunday to Liverpool.
A Chelsea victory is very much expected but Luton boast a strong home record – they’re unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions. They will also take some confidence from Middlesbrough’s heroics thus far in the competition. Boro dispatched Manchester United and most recently took down Conte’s Spurs last night. One thing is for sure, this is the FA Cup, and anything could happen. Luton are currently 19/4 to qualify for the next round.

Liverpool chasing the quadruple
Jurgen Klopp’s side won the League Cup on penalties on Sunday and in doing so kept their hopes of a quadruple alive. In Norwich’s recent trip to Anfield, the away side grabbed the opener before Liverpool cranked up the pressure and scored three goals in 17 minutes to take control of the game. At the time of writing, you can back a Norwich upset at best odds of 37/2.
