Premier League Betting: Must-win for Champions League chasing West Ham

This week’s Premier League betting roundup from WhoScored.com covers Harry Kane’s new front three partner, Philippe Coutinho’s home returns and Brentford’s set piece success.

West Ham vs Tottenham

Pressure on Hammers in top four race

West Ham and Tottenham are both locked on 48 points heading into Sunday's London derby, with the Hammers currently edging their rivals courtesy of a superior head-to-head advantage. West Ham have, however, played one game more than Antonio Conte's side but will be looking to finish above Tottenham in the Premier League for the second season running.

West Ham haven’t secured back-to-back finishers higher than Tottenham since the turn of the Millennium. Knowing Tottenham have a game-in-hand, victory is the bare minimum required for David Moyes' side on Sunday.

New partner in crime for Kane

Harry Kane has scored in four straight Premier League matches heading into Sunday's derby and he generally tends to enjoy encounters with West Ham. The England captain has scored 11 goals in 17 previous Premier League matches against the Hammers and when he finds the back of the net once he usually does so again. In fact, Kane has scored four braces against West Ham in his career; against only Everton has he done so more times (six braces). He is best price 5/1 to score a brace on Sunday.

Dejan Kulusevski wasn't Tottenham's first choice attacking reinforcement in January, but Conte's side are all the better for his arrival. The Sweden international has made an instant impact and has helped relieve some of the pressure on Kane and Son Heung-Min. Since the January window closed only Kane (eight) has played a direct hand in more Premier League goals than Kulusevski (six).

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Home comforts for Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho has so far done the business for Aston Villa at Villa Park, with all six of his goal involvements falling there. In fact, only Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.89) has a better WhoScored rating than Coutinho (7.79) in Premier League home matches this season (four + appearances).

Moreover, Arsenal are one of the Brazilian's favourite opponents to score against in the Premier League. Coutinho has netted four times in eight previous encounters with the Gunners; only in matches against Southampton has he netted more (five in 10). Back him at 17/5 to score anytime.

Happy hunting ground for the Gunners

Arsenal have moved firmly into the driving seat for fourth place after a run of five wins from their last six in the Premier League. The Gunners currently occupy fourth and could move four points clear of Manchester United with a win on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta's side have won four in a row away from home and victory at Villa Park would see them rack up five straight away league wins for the first time since May 2015. Arsenal have only won more times away to West Ham (13) in the Premier League era than they have at Villa Park (12 wins).

Aston Villa are looking to cement a place in the top-half of the table with victory over Arsenal but results this season would suggest a defeat is on the cards. While Villa have won back-to-back home matches against Arsenal, both by 1-0 scorelines, Villa have lost nine of their 11 league matches against teams currently above them in the table. Gerrard also only won 25% of his Premier League matches against Arsenal as a player (nine wins from 34 matches).

Leicester vs Brentford

Set piece joy for Brentford at Leicester?

Leicester have conceded 20 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League this season, a league-high. Brentford, meanwhile, have scored more goals from set-pieces (16) than they have open play (15) in the Premier League this season.

Ivan Toney has scored in five straight league starts for Brentford and netted eight goals in that time. Only Chelsea (seven) have scored more penalties than Brentford (six) in the Premier League this season, while only Norwich (eight) have conceded from more than Leicester (six).

Ivan Toney, who has scored all 17 of his penalties for Brentford, has scored the second most (five) in the Premier League this season, behind Jorginho (six). He is 5/1 to chalk up another on Sunday.

Leicester improved at the King Power

Leicester have lost just one of their last 11 home matches in all competitions - a late 3-2 loss to Tottenham. Brendan Rodgers’ side are on a five-game winning streak against newly promoted teams in the Premier League.
