Despite drifting from 3/1 to a best price 6/1 since joining Chelsea, Graham Potter remains the favourite in the next England manager odds market. Should the FA make a change after the World Cup, it's unlikely the 47-year-old would jump ship.
However, should Gareth Southgate and his assistant Steve Holland see out their contracts until December 2024 you wouldn't place a huge wager on Potter still being at Stamford Bridge - given the 'hire and fire' mentality Todd Boehly has seemingly carried over from the Roman Abramovich era.

Eddie Howe – Best Price 6/1
Second favourite in the next England manager market is Eddie Howe (6/1), another we’d have our doubts about given the strength of his position with big-spending Newcastle. International football management is also often seen as an older man’s game – something, Southgate aside, is backed up by the FA’s most recent appointments.
Fabio Capello was 61 when he was appointed in December 2007, his permanent replacement Roy Hodgson was 64 when he joined in 2012 and Southgate’s most immediate predecessor ‘Big Sam’ Allardyce (for just one game) landed the top job at 61. At 44 years old, you’d expect Howe to stick with the club scene for a while longer.
Mauricio Pochettino – Best Price 13/2
Third on the list and we find the first candidate whose appointment would make sense in the short term should Southgate fail to deliver this winter in Qatar. Mauricio Pochettino (13/2) turned 50 in March and, arguably, has had a go at the top of the club game having followed up a successful stint at Spurs with a near 18-month spell in charge at PSG.
He has been linked with a surprise move to Nice, should the French club part ways with Lucien Favre, but reportedly favours a move back to England. Yet, which of the ‘top six’ Premier League jobs are likely to become available?
Five of the six managers in place at these clubs are the bottom five in the sack race odds - Potter, Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Erik ten Hag and Jurgen Klopp – while the popular Antonio Conte stands in the way of a sensational return to Spurs.
Steve Cooper – Best Price 10/1
Fourth on the list is another intriguing one, given that Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper finds himself among the favourites in the Premier League’s next manager to leave market. Like Howe, he is still in his early 40s, while something that could count against him is that he’s not English.
The 42-year-old Welshman has done a superb job at Forest, taking them from bottom of the Championship to the Premier League via the playoffs, before overseeing a huge overhaul of the club’s playing squad this summer.
