Sergen Yalcin joins İsmail Kartal in a Turkish top two to replace Shota Arveladze in the next Hull City manager odds market.
Following the departure of Shota Arveladze after a disappointing start to the season, Hull City are looking for a new manager. Arveladze has left after just eight months at the club, with the Tigers sitting just above the bottom three. Hull are due to take on Luton Town this evening, and many fans will be shocked that this was not done before the international break.
Hull will now be looking for a new owner to transform their poor season, but who are the main candidates in the next manager odds market?
İsmail Kartal
İsmail Kartal, who started as short as 10/1 but has quickly drifted to a best price 10/1, will be unfamiliar for English football fans, but he is very well known in Turkey.
The 61-year-old has worked most recently at Fenerbahce for a second spell with the Turkish giants, where he left at the end of last season after being appointed in January.
The Turkish owner of Hull Acun Ilicali will have good contacts in Turkey, which gives no surprise as to the background of the main favourites for the full time role.
Sergen Yalcin
Sergen Yalcin (shortened into 5/1), similarly to Kartal, has been working throughout Turkey, most recently managing Besiktas, where he had a 55% win rate. It was his longest stint as a manager, lasting 79 games at the Turkish club. He also has never managed in England.

Ersun Yanal
Ersun Yanal (12/1) has managed the Turkish national side, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor, both in multiple stints. The 60-year-old won the Super Lig with Fenerbahce back in 2013/14, but has not managed a club after leaving Antalyaspor in October 2021, where he had just a 30.43% win rate.
Liam Rosenior
Liam Rosenior (best priced 12/1) spent just short of three months as Derby County interim manager earlier this year before leaving once the club appointed Paul Warne. He recorded seven wins and two draws in 12 matches, with a win percentage of 58.33%.
Chris Hughton
Chris Hughton (16/1) has been out of work since leaving Nottingham Forest in relegation danger in the Championship just over a year ago. Before that, he had enjoyed a hugely successful 200+ match tenure at Brighton, taking the Seagulls to the Premier League in 2017 where they still remain.
