Jesse Marsch to Leave & Newcastle Top 6 Odds: Price Swings from the Premier League Weekend

Jesse Marsch to Leave & Newcastle Top 6 Odds: Price Swings from the Premier League Weekend

We’ve picked out five of the biggest price swings from the Premier League weekend as Leeds manager Jesse Marsch faces an uncertain future at Elland Road.

Jesse Marsch (Next Manager to Leave) 11/4 > 1/3

Jesse Marsch has come in from 11/4 before the weekend to a best price 1/3 to become the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

After a bright start to the season, which saw them take seven points from the first three matches, Leeds have failed to win in the subsequent eight matches (2D 6L). They did at least manage to score twice against Fulham having scored once in the previous four.

Spurs (Top 4 Finish) 1/2 > 11/8

Before the first Premier League game kicked off on Saturday, most bookmakers still had Spurs at odds on to finish in the top 4 (best price 11/10). For context, several bookmakers had them at 1/2 before they went to Old Trafford on Wednesday.

At the close of the weekend, having lost for the second time in just four days, only one bookmaker on the oddschecker grid has Antonio Conte's side shorter than Evens with one offering 11/8.

Leicester (Top Half Finish) 7/1 > 4/1

A first wave of optimism at slow-starting Leicester quickly subsided after they followed a 4-0 Monday Night Football win over Nottingham Forest three weeks ago with defeat at Bournemouth and a goalless draw at home against Crystal Palace.

However, two wins in three days (scoring six and conceding none) to end last week has seen the Foxes shorten from 7/1 to 4/1 for a top half finish in the Premier League.

Wolves (To Stay Up) 1/6 > 4/7

The second of those Leicester wins came against managerless Wolves, whose own Premier League plight has significantly worsened in the last few days.

Before kick-off at Selhurst Park last Tuesday, Wolves were as short as 1/6 to stay up in the Premier League. Yet having followed a 2-1 defeat against Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace with a 4-0 home thumping by the Foxes, you can now get best odds of 4/7 with one bookmaker.

Newcastle (Top 6 Finish) 5/2 > EVS

Another side to register two wins in just a few days was Newcastle, who delivered something of a statement win against Spurs in their bid to crash the league’s traditional ‘Big Six’. Before kick-off against Everton on Wednesday, you could get 5/2 on the Magpies to finish in the Top 6

The same bet is now a best price Evens (4/6 with one bookmaker) as Eddie Howe’s side moved into the Top 4 – they have lost just once in their 12 league matches so far.
