When is the FA Cup Draw? Odds ahead of final fifth round matches

With four FA Cup fifth round matches left to play, we look ahead to tonight’s FA Cup quarter-final draw and the odds for the teams still in the FA Cup.

Favourites Manchester City, as well as Brighton, Fulham and Championship side Blackburn all secured their places in the next round of the FA Cup, with four more teams set to join them tonight.

Manchester United, winners of the Carabao Cup, are hungry for more success and stand a real chance in this one as they host West Ham United at Old Trafford in their fifth round clash.

Elsewhere, League Two Grimsby, the lowest ranked side left in the competition, travel to Premier League Southampton looking to create a real shock, while Sheffield United host Tottenham and Burnley welcome Fleetwood Town.

When is the FA Cup Quarter Final Draw?

The FA Cup quarter-final draw will take place on BBC One after Sheffield United host Tottenham Hotspur in the final tie of the fifth round. It should start at around 10pm UK Time, barring extra time or a penalty shootout in the aforementioned match. By that time, we should have the final eight confirmed quarter-finalists.

Who are the favourites for the FA Cup?

Manchester City are the favourites for this year’s FA Cup at a best price of 11/8 following their 3-0 dispatching of Bristol City in the fifth round. Their run to the last eight has seen them beat Chelsea and Arsenal, while they are yet to concede a single goal in this FA Cup campaign. They reached the semi-finals last season before being knocked out to eventual winners Liverpool.

Their last triumph was in 2019, where they equalled the record for the biggest FA Cup final margin of victory, hammering Watford 6-0 to secure the domestic treble and become the first English men’s team to do so.

Manchester United, still yet to book their place in the draw for the quarter-final, are the second favourites at a best price of 7/2. Erik ten Hag’s side won the first piece of silverware up for grabs this season in the Carabao Cup, and stand a good chance of adding to that seeing as they remain in the hunt for the Premier League, Europa League and this competition.

Their last triumph was in 2016, where they edged Crystal Palace in the final, but they most recently reached the final in 2018 before losing to Chelsea. They are the side with the most victories left in the competition, with 12 FA Cup trophies to their name.

Tottenham Hotspur, who United beat to reach that 2018 final, are the third favourites to win the 2023 FA Cup at a best price of 6/1. They also haven’t booked their place in the next round but are favourites to do so against Sheffield United.

Antonio Conte’s side will likely have to beat one of the two Manchester giants to stand a chance of winning their first major trophy since 2008. They haven’t won this competition since 1991, but do have eight FA Cup triumphs to their name.

And what about the other sides in the competition?

Behind the three favourites, Brighton and Fulham, who both secured their passage to the quarter-final on Tuesday, come in at a best price of 13/2 and 14/1 respectively.

Also through to the next round, Blackburn Rovers are a big longshot at a best price of 125/1, but they do know the feeling of winning the FA Cup, having won it six times, unlike Fulham and Brighton who have zero wins combined.
