Harry Kane’s Spurs departure seemed a certainty last year, but will the England captain finally make his move this summer? And where might he go?
Out of the Champions League, out of the domestic cups, a battle for fourth place (23/10 best price for a Top 4 Finish) is all that remains for Tottenham and Harry Kane this season.
Following their disappointing round of 16 exit to AC Milan two weeks ago, Kane came out and said: “Just achieving fourth place is not good enough for anyone at Tottenham.”
Spurs’ miserable season continued in that vein this weekend as the North London club conceded two goals in the last 15 minutes to the Premier League’s basement club Southampton.

And what followed in Antonio Conte’s post-game press conference was even more remarkable than the two-goal lead lost on the South Coast.
“I see selfish players,” said the Italian boss. “I see players who do not want to help each other. They do not want to play for each other. They do not want to play under stress. Tottenham’s story is this. 20 years with this owner, and they’ve never won something. But why?”
Conte’s exit at the end of the season (if not before) seems a given (4/9 next Premier League manager to leave), but will Kane be following him out the door with him this summer?
The noise coming out of Tottenham is the club’s record goalscorer will not leave at any price, but can the club’s image afford a public battle with England captain Kane if he pushes for a move away?

Will United move for Kane or Victor Osimhen?
Man United’s hunt for a striker is publicly known and the addition of Harry Kane could be the piece of the jigsaw that makes them a title challenging team next season.
Erik ten Hag’s side are the current market favourites at 3/1 to land the England captain’s signature in the summer, however the 29-year-old may not be their first choice target.
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been bullying Serie A defences this season and has made clear he wishes to pursue his “dream move” to the Premier League in the future.
The Manchester club are 5/1 favourites to sign the Nigerian international this summer, with Chelsea (8/1) also rumoured to be plotting a move for Osimhen.
The Englishman seems a better fit for ten Hag’s system, with Kane having the ability to drop into the number 10 position to pick up passes, allowing the three attacking midfielders to make their cutting runs beyond the defensive line.
Osimhen is a more traditional number nine who stays on the last defender and pushes the defensive line back, waiting for crosses and passes to come into him rather than going deep to find them.

Where else could Kane move this summer?
It seems unthinkable that Kane would move away from the Premier League with Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record of 260 firmly in his sights (currently on 204), but if United move for Osimhen his hand may be forced.
Bayern Munich’s interest in Kane seems to roll around on a six-month basis whenever the transfer window opens, with the German champions still looking to replace Robert Lewandowski.
The German club are a best price 16/1 (worst 9/1) to complete a move for Kane, with Real Madrid (25/1) and Barcelona (33/1) the other clubs priced up in the market to sign him this summer.
This conversation will pick up pace as the end of the season draws closer and with the potential Man United takeover coming up, will this be the window where Kane finally moves from North London?
