Next Tottenham Manager Odds: Julian Nagelsmann expected to replace Conte

Former Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann is the favourite to replace Antonio Conte in the next Tottenham manager odds market.

Who is the favourite to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham?

Julian Nagelsmann

Julian Nagelsmann (Evens) is the favourite to replace Antonio Conte as the next permanent Tottenham manager having only been sacked from his job at Bayern Munich two days ago.

The 35-year-old, who has also managed Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, was dismissed despite being only a point adrift of Jude Bellingham's table topping Dortmund. He was quickly replaced at the Allianz Arena by former Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.

Nagelsmann won more than 70% of his matches in charge and knocked PSG out of the Champions League less than three weeks ago.

Ryan Mason

Ryan Mason (2/1) became the interim head coach at Tottenham in 2021 following the club's dismissal of Jose Mourinho, making him the youngest coach in Premier League history at 29.

Now 31, Mason will again be called upon again to help steer Spurs' top four bid as deputy to Conte's assistant Cristian Stellini until a permanent appointment is made at the end of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham fans showed their support for their former manager by chanting his name in the aftermath of the team’s limp Champions League exit to AC Milan.

Pochettino (best price 10/1) spent more than five years in charge of Tottenham between 2014 and 2019, reaching the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season.

His latest job was with big spending PSG in France, where he was dismissed despite winning the Ligue 1 title in 2021/22 – the only league title of his managerial career.

And what about some of the outsiders?

Oliver Glasner

Austrian Oliver Glasner (25/1) is a surprise inclusion on the list of potential replacements for Conte, despite his successes with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 48-year-old led the Bundesliga side to Europa League glory last season, beating Rangers in the final. His side are 6th in the league after 25 games and reached the Champions League Round of 16 before losing heavily to Napoli, third favourites for the tournament going into the quarter-finals.

Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou (best price 33/1) arrived at Celtic after Rangers had spoiled the Parkhead club's attempts to win a 10th title in a row in 2020/21. The Aussie helped to turn the tide, beating Rangers to last season's title by four points after 29 wins from 38 matches.

His side have gone to a new level so far this season, winning 27 of 29 league matches and scoring 93 goals in the process. They also beat Rangers 2-1 in the Scottish League Cup final last month.

Luis Enrique

Former Barcelona and Spain manager, Luis Enrique (33/1), stepped down after overseeing Spain's disappointing World Cup defeat to Morocco on penalties, but arguably had them playing the best football going into that match.

Enrique also impressed while in charge at Barcelona, guiding them to a treble with a front three of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi. The former Real Madrid and Barcelona midfielder, capped 62 times by his country, is a serious candidate in the race to become Conte's permanent successor.

Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane has been linked with a range of big jobs since he stepped down from his post at Real Madrid for a second time in May 2021.

He had been expected to succeed Didier Deschamps with the French national team before his former international teammate extended his contract until 2026.

The 50-year-old, still yet to manage anywhere outside of Real Madrid, is a best price 66/1 to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
