Rice has been touted as a long-term replacement for 30-year-old Granit Xhaka alongside Thomas Partey in Arteta’s Gunners midfield. Xhaka has all but confirmed he is leaving with a cryptic 'goodbye' message on Instagram after scoring twice in his final Emirates outing against Wolves.
