Luton Town Squad: Who’s in and out this summer?
Luton have made a slow start in the transfer market and there have been no significant buys as of yet. Chiedozie Ogbene has been brought in from Rotherham on a free and he is likely to feature heavily for the side. He is a key player for Ireland and could prove to be a shrewd acquisition. Mads Andersen has also been brought in from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.

The team that comes up via the playoffs are frequently the bookmakers’ favourite to be relegated. This year is no different with Luton being best priced at 2/5 to go down with Unibet. The Premier League looks very strong next season and Luton could struggle to keep their heads above water. I don’t expect them to be whipping boys by any stretch of the imagination but the teams near the bottom last season are set to strengthen. The likes of Everton and Nottingham Forest were lucky to survive last season and will invest more than the newly-promoted Luton.
Luton will be a tough place to go. The narrow pitch suits their style of play and it is a stadium that should intimidate the stars of the Premier League. However, I expect Rob Edwards’ side to come up short over the course of a long campaign.
