The latest Kaoru Mitoma next club odds market show that a summer move to Manchester City for the Brighton star has become much likelier over the last few days.
Unfortunately, success normally brings change in the world of football and that's something Brighton are battling against this summer.
The Seagulls were a joy to watch last season and their stylish brand of football resulted in them finishing in the top six. However, it meant players such as Moises Caicedo, Evan Ferguson and Kaoru Mitoma became hot property.
Mitoma remains a Brighton player, but for how much longer? Manchester City would be a step up for the Japanese star and the Citizens seem to be edging closer to securing the signing.
Since Monday, City's odds of signing Mitoma have been cut from 6/1 to 2/1 on Sky Bet (33.33% implied chance) and they remain the firm favourites in the betting market.
Many think with a move to Manchester City, Mitoma can pretty much guarantee himself a Premier League winners medal. A whopping 75% of people who have entered oddschecker's Million Pound Predictor have predicted Manchester City to win the league.
Oddschecker spokesperson Sam Eaton said: "Of the thousands who have played the free oddschecker predictor game, 95% think Brighton will secure another top half finish, however, only 9% of people think Brighton will record back-to-back top six finishes.
