The 22-year-old Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson, who has played as both a striker and a winger for Steve Cooper's Tricky Trees, is reportedly on the verge of joining Tottenham.
Despite being born in Nottingham and playing for his hometown club since 2019 (with the exception of a single loan season at Lincoln City), Johnson is a 20-times capped Wales international. He has two international goals, both from Wales’ 2022/23 Nations League campaign.

Johnson has made 41 appearances for Forest in the Premier League, scoring eight goals. He was more prolific in Forest’s Championship promotion season, netting 16 times in 46 appearances.
He closed yesterday at 6/1 to join Brentford, as the Bees resurrected their interest having had a £43 million bid knocked back this time last week.
However, the Bees are now 20/1 on Sky Bet to secure Johnson’s services, as Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs move into pole position on Deadline Day for a fee reportedly set to reach £50 million.
