Zinedine Zidane is the 4/1 favourite with the bookmakers in the next Man United manager odds market after a second consecutive Champions League loss – and a sixth defeat in 10 matches in all competitions – left current manager Erik ten Hag fearing for the sack at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman was 16/1 on Sky Bet in the next manager to leave market before last weekend’s defeat at home to Crystal Palace, but is now 7/2 with the same bookmaker.

The Blades have conceded 19 goals in seven league matches, taking just a single point from a draw with fellow strugglers Everton.

Who is the favourite to replace ten Hag at Man United?
Zinedine Zidane has emerged as the likeliest candidate to replace Erik ten Hag as Man United manager, should the Dutchman be shown the door at Old Trafford.
The 51-year-old Zidane has been out of work since the end of his second spell at Real Madrid in May 2021. He won two La Liga titles in his time with the Spanish giants and landed the Champions League trophy in three successive seasons.
The second favourite in the market is Julian Nagelsmann, despite him taking the German national job last month on a contract until July 2024.
Nagelsmann had won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich (2021/22) and reached the Champions League semi-final with RB Leipzig, all by the age of just 35. He was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea after his shock departure from Bavaria in March 2023.
Third favourite in the next Man United manager odds market is the forgotten man of football, Graham Potter (7/1), who impressed in a three-year spell with Brighton before spectacularly failing at Stamford Bridge – winning just 12 of his 31 matches with Chelsea in all competitions. He left the club in 11th place in the Premier League after just seven months in charge.
