Nathan Jones is the bookmakers' favourite in the next Sheffield Wednesday manager odds market after the departure of Xisco Munoz.
Following a winless start to the season, where Sheffield Wednesday have picked up just two points, Xisco Munoz has paid the price following their 1-0 defeat to West Brom and has been sacked as Sheffield Wednesday manager.
Munoz came in to replace popular Darren Moore, who guided the Owls to promotion from League One with a stunning play-off campaign, which included coming back from 4-0 down against Peterborough in the semi-final first leg to win the second leg and winning the play-off final 1-0 against 10-man Barnsley with the winner coming in the 123rd minute of the final.
With Dejphon Chansiri's ownership taking the headlines, after announcing he would not put any more money into the club, following treatment towards himself and his family, it looks like a poisoned chalice at Hillsborough and they look destined to drop down to where they came from last season.

Who will replace Xisco Munoz at Sheffield Wednesday?
Nathan Jones is the 4/1 favourite to replace Xisco Munoz at Sheffield Wednesday on Sky Bet (implied 20% chance). Jones has been out of work since recording just one league win in eight matches at Southampton, where he became the shortest serving non-caretaker manager in the club's history.
Nathan Jones
The Welsh manager was ridiculed for his arrogance, as he said there “weren’t many better than (Jones) in Europe” and his delusion did not bring the fans on side. Whether Sheffield Wednesday need a divisive character such as Jones at Hillsborough is yet to be seen, but his record at Luton speaks for itself.
Jones was awarded the 2021/22 Championship manager of the season with the Hatters after guiding them to the Championship play-off semi finals, and he would need to use all his managerial experience in order to pull the Owls out of their current hole and survive another season in the second tier.
Dean Smith
The second favourite is Dean Smith at a best price of 6/1, who is fresh out of a job at Leicester. He picked up nine points from his eight league games in charge, which relegated the Foxes, ending their nine year stay in the Premier League.
Whilst Smith won’t be remembered fondly for that stint, his time with Brentford and Aston Villa will be more thought about for the Wednesday fans. He took Aston Villa to two Championship play-off finals and kept them up in the Premier League in their first full season, before achieving an 11th place finish in their second top flight campaign.
Smith’s last two jobs have been rather unsuccessful, but having played for Wednesday 55 times from 2003 to 2004, Wednesday fans will hope he can keep them in the second tier and push on after their remarkable promotion last season.
Slaven Bilic
Current Al-Fateh manager Slaven Bilic is also in the running for the Sheffield Wednesday job with a best price of 7/1. Bilic has previously managed West Ham, West Brom and Watford in England, and could add another W in Wednesday to his list.
With West Brom, he gained promotion by coming second in the Championship season in his first season at the club, before being sacked midway through their Premier League campaign, despite leaving straight after a 1-1 draw at eventual champions Manchester City.
His time in the Championship with Watford however was one to forget for the Croatian. He stayed for just seven months, after winning one of his last eight Championship games at Vicarage Road.
He has only been in his current role at Al-Fateh since the start of July and currently find themselves in 7th, behind the likes of Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, who purchased many elite European stars in the summer transfer window.
Neil Warnock
A 10/1 chance for the Wednesday job, Neil Warnock has revealed he was offered the job "a few years ago" by former owner Milan Mandaric.
The 74-year-old left Huddersfield after an average start to the Championship season, despite saving the Terriers from relegation in 2022/23 after being seven points adrift of safety in March.
Warnock has amassed nearly 1,900 matches as a manager, leading 16 different clubs from the Premier League to non-league. The 16 includes Wednesday's cross-city rivals Sheffield United, who he reached the top flight with in 2006.
Scott Parker
42-year-old former England international Scott Parker is a manager whose stock has fallen significantly since leaving Bournemouth after a 9-0 thrashing at Anfield in August 2022.
His sacking came just a few months after he had guided the Cherries back to the Premier League after two years away in his first season as manager. He also helped Fulham to Championship promotion at the first time of asking in 2019/20.
However, his disappointing Bournemouth exit was followed by an ill-fated short spell at Club Brugge, which ended in February 2023 after just two wins from 12 matches left the club 21 points off the pace in the Belgian Pro League. He is currently a best price of 14/1 for the Sheffield Wednesday job.
