After four years at the club Gary Rowett and Millwall have decided to part ways, with the Lions currently in 15th place and three points of the playoffs.
Gary Rowett was a polarising figure during his time at the Den with the 49-year-old steadying the ship at Millwall at the beginning of his tenure but as expectations grew at the club Rowett failed to deliver.
After finishing 8th last season and playoffs only 45 minutes away on the final day of the season, the Lions blew a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3, and miss out on the playoffs. This was seen as a turning point for Rowett's time at the Den.
The Lions have had a mixed start to the season with the club currently sitting 15th in the Championship but only three points off the playoffs. However, performances have been poor with a 3-0 loss to Leeds and a 3-1 loss to Norwich highlighting a time for change.

Who will replace Gary Rowett at Millwall?
Former Lions player Kevin Muscat is currently the bookies favourite at 7/4 to replace Gary Rowett at Milwall in the next Millwall manager odds market.
The 50-year-old is currently in charge of Japanese side Yokohama Marinos having spent the majority of his coaching career in his native Australia with Melbourne Victory, winning both the A-League Championship (twice) and A-League Premiership.
Kevin Muscat – 7/4
Kevin Muscat is the 7/4 bookmakers' favourite to replace Gary Rowett as Millwall manager having missed out on the Rangers job earlier this week.
The 50-year-old is currently in charge of Japanese side Yokohama Marinos having spent the majority of his coaching career in his native Australia with Melbourne Victory, winning both the A-League Championship (twice) and A-League Premiership.
Muscat spent two seasons with Millwall from 2003 to 2005, the final British club of his playing career, making 53 league appearances and 62 in all competitions. In 2004, he captained the Lions to the FA Cup Final for the first time in their history but missed the match with a knee injury.
John Eustace - 8/1
John Eustace is as short as 5/1 (8/1 best price) to succeed Rowett at The Den despite only leaving Birmingham 10 days ago. The 43-year-old was replaced by Wayne Rooney at St Andrew's despite guiding the Midlands club into the Championship Top 6 with a 3-1 win over West Brom in his last match in charge.
His time at Birmingham was Eustace's second full-time managerial position having spent a little under two years with Kidderminster Harriers from 2016-18. He won 55 of his 103 matches in charge at the Aggborough Stadium.

Mark Kennedy – 8/1
Mark Kennedy is 8/1 to be the next Lions manager having recently being sacked by Lincoln City.
The former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland winger led the Imps to a top-half finish in League One last season, but they are currently 16th - albeit seven points above the relegation zone but before leaving Lincoln Kennedy was on a run of one win in six league games.
Kennedy briefly managed Macclesfield and also coached at Ipswich and Birmingham before Lincoln appointed him to succeed Michael Appleton almost 18 months ago. He has never managed in the Championship before.
Michael Beale – 10/1
Michael Beale (10/1 to be next Millwall manager) was sacked by Rangers at the start of this month after a third defeat in seven league matches left the club seven points behind Scottish Premiership leaders, Celtic.
The 43-year-old failed to reach a year in charge at Ibrox having been appointed on 28th November 2022. He won 31 of his 43 matches in charge (72% success rate), mixing four draws with eight defeats.
Unfortunately, a fast start for Beale quickly faded - he won Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month in his first full month in charge. The Gers were beaten by Celtic in the Scottish League Cup final and finished seven points adrift of their Glasgow rivals in the final 2022/23 league table.
