Tony Mowbray is 75% likely to replace Wayne Rooney according to one bookmaker.
A clear frontrunner has emerged with bookmakers to become the new Birmingham City Manager as Tony Mowbray now heads the betting to replace Wayne Rooney.
Having entered the market at 9/1, Mowbray is now as short as 1/3 in the next Birmingham manager odds market (implied 75% chance).
The former Sunderland boss has usurped the likes of Jesse Marsch (8/1), early frontrunner Steve Cooper (10/1), former manager Gary Rowett (14/1) and Paul Heckingbottom (14/1) to become the clear favourite to take over at St Andrew’s.
A stacked group of managers with a best price of 16/1 at the time of writing includes Graham Potter, Lee Carsley, John Eustace and Frank Lampard.
You can still back Mowbray to replace Rooney at 3/4 (implied 57% chance) on BetMGM.

“Having been odds of 5/1 this morning, Mowbray’s odds have been slashed by bookmakers to firmly odds – now as short as 1/3 on Sky Bet.
