The Chelsea manager is moving the wrong way in next manager to leave market.
Mauricio Pochettino slumped to his ninth defeat in just 26 matches as Premier League manager in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Middlesbrough.
The Carabao Cup had been a source of respite for the 51-year-old Argentine before Christmas, accounting for 25% of his 12 wins as Chelsea manager. His team enjoyed wins over Wimbledon, Brighton and Blackburn before knocking out last year’s finalists Newcastle on penalties.

Who will be next Premier League manager to be sacked?
Roy Hodgson is the favourite in the Premier League next manager to leave market at a best price of 11/4 on Paddy Power (implied 26% chance). He is as short as 13/8 with one bookmaker.
The former England manager was 50/1 across the board before a 2-1 Premier League defeat at Luton on Saturday 25th November. That followed a home defeat against Everton in the previous match, the first in a run where Palace have taken just six points from nine matches.
The 76-year-old has drifted a little since going odds on with some bookmakers before Palace’s much needed home win against Brentford on Saturday 30th December.
The other three managers with a shorter best price than Pochettino at the time of writing are Man United’s Erik ten Hag, Eddie Howe (3/1 & 4/1 on BetVictor) and Vincent Kompany (9/1).
