Jose Mourinho is looking for a new club after being sacked by Roma.
AS Roma have sacked Jose Mourinho following a poor run of form. The ‘Special One’ spent two and a half years with the Italian club, who sit 9th in Serie A after 20 matches played in the 2023/24 season.
His contract was due to expire in June 2024 but the club have moved early after a run of just one win in the last six Serie A matches. Mourinho was sent off as Roma were also recently knocked out of the Coppa Italia by city rivals Lazio.
Now 60 years of age, Mourinho joined Roma in 2021 and led them to the Europa Conference League title in 2022 - his first season in charge. He has won 68 of his 138 matches in charge with a win rate just under 50%.
Where will Jose Mourinho go next?
Sky Bet have moved quickly to cut the odds on Newcastle being his next club to 3/1.
He has also been linked with positions in the Saudi Pro League, while he remains a 20/1 chance on William Hill to replace Gareth Southgate as the next England manager (shortest price 10/1).
